Link of the Week (or Whenever): The Infamous Eephus

August 06, 2008 — Found this historical (and hysterical) piece at the NY Times called A Brief History of the Eephus Pitch. The article provides a treasure trove of links to videos, history and photos, including a 2005 video clip of Randy Johnson throwing a WHOOPS for a strike against Sal Fasano. Just to whet your appetite, I’ve embedded a few video clips here. But really, read the whole article. Avoid drinking carbonated liquids until afterwards, though. Bye for now!
