From Sacto to Salt Lake: Brad Knox

April 3rd, 2009

April 03, 2009 — Brad who? Oh come now, you remember. The starting pitcher who helped the Sacramento River Cats win last season’s Triple-A Championship. Oh, . . .that Brad Knox. My apologies for missing him when I was researching my post about the “new guys.” Ah, well, no time like the present, so here you go. . .

Knox struggled at times during the 2008 season, which pretty much ensured no September call-up for the 26-year old. He made quite an impression in Winter Ball, pitching for Tigres de Aragua of Venezuela. Nonetheless, the A’s organization apparently felt no further need for his services, and Knox signed a contract with the Angels in early March. No spring-training stats, which means he was probably assigned to minor-league camp from the get-go.

At any rate, we’ll soon be learning more about the 6′ 2″, 230-lb RHP originally from Houston, TX. . .Bye for now!
