Wanna See a #1 Draft Pick?
May 11th, 2009
May 11, 2009 — Stephen Strasburg. Don’t know the name? He’s a starting pitcher for San Diego State University. One of Tony Gwynn’s ballplayers. He pitched for USA Baseball at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Most noteworthy of all, he’s projected to be the #1 draft pick in the upcoming MLB draft, June 9-10. His agent is the infamous Scott Boras. The Washington Nationals have announced to everyone in the known universe they will use their #1 pick to take Strasburg.
And, . . .he’s coming to Utah. Strasburg is scheduled to pitch against the University of Utah this Thursday, May 14th, 6:00pm, at Lindquist Field in Ogden. At the risk of irritating my good friends in the Bees office, I’ll make this decision easy for you:
